Ipswich keen on return of Noble
Mark Noble
Noble is a former England U18 captain
Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has enquired about bringing midfielder Mark Noble back to Portman Road in January.

Noble impressed in his three months on loan with the Championship club before he returned to West Ham in November.

He is on a four-year deal with the Hammers but the London club have sacked boss Alan Pardew which leaves question marks over Noble's immediate future.

Magilton told the club website: "I'm interested in bring him back. He was popular at the club and did a good job.

Meanwhile striker Billy Clarke is a doubt for Saturday's game against Leeds after aggravating an ankle injury in the draw at Cardiff.
