Ipswich boss Jim Magilton says he is "keeping an eye" on Sunderland's former Town midfielder Tommy Miller. The 27-year-old has been out of favour on Wearside since new boss Roy Keane's spending spree - but scored in a friendly against Doncaster on Monday.
An Ipswich scout was at that game, and Magilton said: "Tommy is still a player who interests us.
"He is not in the first team at the moment and something might still happen in January, if not sooner."
Miller joined the Black Cats from Ipswich in the summer of 2005, after making 117 league appearances in four seasons at Portman Road.
