Championship side Ipswich Town have signed Crystal Palace striker Jon Macken on loan until January. Meanwhile, Simon Walton's loan to Portman Road from Charlton has also been extended until 3 January.
"When Simon goes back to Charlton, he wants to be in first-team contention. That's the attitude I'd expect," boss Jim Magilton told the club website.
"But both Charlton manager Iain Dowie and I agree that it will benefit the lad if he stays here with us."
