Butcher is delighted with the work rate in his Inverness team
Inverness manager Terry Butcher pinpointed team spirit as a factor in their league win over Kilmarnock that maintained their unbeaten away record.
After the 2-1 success, Butcher said: "I can't praise the boys highly enough. They work hard, young and old. There is a great spirit in the team.
"You could see that today. If one man got beat, then another man was there.
"We have a quiz on a Friday night. It's very tense and competitive. They all get stuck into that. It works for us."
The Caley Thistle boss believes that his players also show a great attitude to the amount of travelling they have to do up and down the A9 for matches, joking that the club must employ "a lot of sadists".
"I am very pleased with everybody, but particularly the younger ones," he added.
"Players like Graeme Shinnie at left-back, who is only 19, is doing great. He typifies the spirit of the club.
"And Nick Ross played in three different positions today.
"He's got good legs, gets about the park, he's got a lovely touch and he is only 18 years of age.
"There is a good future at the club. We like to say we are building for the future. We are looking more long-term now than we ever have done, I think.
"But it's all credit to the players that we can do that."
