Watford have signed left-winger Aleksandrs Cauna on loan for the rest of the season, as well as midfielder Don Cowie on a more permanent deal.
Cowie has arrived at Vicarage Road from Inverness Caledonian Thistle for a nominal fee.
The 25-year-old, whose contract with the SPL side was due to expire in the summer, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Hornets.
Latvian Cauna, 21, joins the Championship club from Skonto Riga.
Former Ross County player Cowie, joined Inverness two years ago and made 56 league appearances for the Highland side.
Now Cowie, who had been wanted by SPL rivals Motherwell as part of a swap deal, switches from one relegation battle to another.
Inverness are bottom of the SPL, while Watford have slipped to third bottom of their league after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Wolves.
