Inverness chairman Alan Savage has announced his resignation after less than two years at the helm.
"I am sad to be stepping down as I have enjoyed being chairman of Caley Thistle," he told the club website.
"However the enormous growth in my company, the Orion Group, means that I cannot devote the time and energy to lead the club for another season.
"My business is very much about the relationships with our clients and this requires me to travel extensively."
The departure of Savage may have an impact on the future of striker Marius Niculae.
The Romanian international, who has another year on his contract to run, has part of his salary paid directly by the Orion Group.
Savage stepped into the role when David Sutherland stood down in 2006.
And he added: "There have been many highlights during my time with the club but one that sticks in my mind is the win over Celtic last December.
"I wish the club every success for the future and will continue to be a keen supporter."
The club have no immediate plans to announce a replacement for Savage and may wait until the close season before an appointment is made.
