Thomson is returning for a second spell at the Caledonian Stadium |
Malcolm Thomson is to rejoin Inverness Caledonian Thistle as assistant manager to Craig Brewster. The pair were together at Inverness during Brewster's first spell in charge and later moved to Dundee United.
However, when Brewster was sacked at Tanandice Thomson moved to assist Bobby Williamson at Chester City.
Thomson is replacing Donald Park, while Chester have appointed the former St Mirren boss Jimmy Bone as assistant at the Deva Stadium.
Thomson told BBC Sport: "I've enjoyed my time in England, but when the chance came to join up with Brew again I had to take it.

"He's a great professional in everything he does and I'm really looking forward to the move."
Park left the Highlanders last week, citing family reasons, and is looking for a new job nearer Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, Brewster has told midfielder Alan Morgan he is free to leave the club when his contract expires in January.
