Hart has been suspended from Inverness until further notice

The midfielder was convicted for possession of cocaine at the Rock Ness music festival in June and fined �300.

The 29-year-old told the Highland News: "I am trying to get on with things now in my life and get some perspective.

"The only thing that matters to me now is concentrating on my football and getting on with things."

Hart is still hoping to be given the go-ahead to continue his playing career.

"It has been a very difficult situation for me which has been wearing me down for however long," he added.

Meanwhile, PFA Scotland chief executive Fraser Wishart would not be drawn on Harts' position or the union's current drugs stance as he awaits the club's decision.

Wishart insisted it was too early for the players' union to comment.

The newly-created union, which operates in tandem with the English PFA, may have a major role to play if the Scottish Premier League club decide to dismiss Hart.

But given the private discussions between all concerned parties, and the nature of the issue, the union insist confidentiality is vital.

St Johnstone sacked two players, George O'Boyle and Kevin Thomas, in 2001 after drugs allegations.

Thomas later claimed for unfair dismissal and won a court case in September 2002, with the SPFA claiming at the time that the players should have been instructed to undergo rehabilitation rather than face the sack.
