Christie offers Dargo record deal
Inverness manager Charlie Christie
Christie is determined to keep Craig Dargo at the club
Inverness manager Charlie Christie revealed he has made Craig Dargo a record pay offer to stay at the club.

A Stuart McCaffrey goal 16 minutes from time gave the visitors a deserved 1-0 final league victory over a lacklustre Saints side at Love Street.

On Dargo, Christie said: We are still hopeful - we spoke to him again briefly on Friday and we made him the best offer this club has ever made a player.

"The club has been great for him and I would be delighted if he stayed."

Dargo's contract is up and he has hinted recently he may be looking to leave, but Christie is hoping he can keep him at the Highland club.

Christie said: "I'm going away for a few days with the coaching staff so we will speak to him in the middle of next week.

And the Caley boss had no doubt that his side deserved to win a game played in bright sunshine and driving rain.

He said: "It's always good to finish the season with a win.

"We could have slipped down a place in the table if results had gone against us.

"We thoroughly deserved it, we dictated the game from the first minute to the last, barring a wee charge from St Mirren after we had scored.

"I would like to find out how many efforts we had on goal, it must be about 16 or 17 which is tremendous.

It just took us so long to score, but it was a good way to finish the season."

Meantime, winger Zander Southerland has accept a new one-year contract.

And three players - Iain Vigurs, Garry Wood and Ally MacDonald - from the Caley Thistle Under-19 squad have been given professional contracts.
