Premier League high-flyers Hull City are expecting to add to their squad during the January transfer window.
Tigers boss Phil Brown revealed to BBC Look North that chief scout Bob Shaw had spent the week in France looking at prospective new players.
He said: "We're looking around Europe and we're looking around England.
"We've earmarked one or two transfer signings but we'll only bring players in that will improve the camp," the City boss added.
He would not be drawn on the long-term future of Marlon King, who scored his fourth goal for the Tigers on Saturday against Stoke City.
King has been on a season-loan with the East Yorkshire club from Wigan Athletic since the start of the campaign.
