Mendy links up with Hull boss Phil Brown for a second time
New Hull City signing Bernard Mendy has said working with manager Phil Brown was the reason he joined the newly promoted Premier League side.
The 26-year-old French international midfielder has teamed up with Brown for the second time after working with him at Bolton Wanderers.
And Mendy told BBC Radio Humberside: "My decision is for the coach because I was with him at Bolton for one year.
"Hull has a good stadium, a good president and good team."
Mendy, who joined from Paris St Germain on a free transfer, has penned a three-year contract at the KC Stadium and he said he was delighted to be back in the Premier League.

"I was asked if I would like to come back and play in the Premier League and for me it's the best league in the world.
Meanwhile Brown has revealed that the club are handing a trial to ex-Fulham goal keeper Tony Warner.
Brown said: "I'm looking for an experienced keeper to come in and challenge and Tony has been doing that at various clubs in the Premier League.
"He's got a wealth of experience and I think it's imperative that we carry three quality goalkeepers in the Premier League next year."
