Hull City striker Dean Windass will miss Saturday's game at home to struggling Colchester after having an operation to remove some cartilage. Windass missed the draw with Norwich on Tuesday and is now expected to be sidelined for up to 10 days.
"Dean had some cartilage trimmed," boss Phil Brown told the club's website. "The operation usually keeps people out for between seven and 10 days.
"Knowing Dean, he will want to be back for this Saturday."
Windass, 38, has been a regular for the promotion-pushing Tigers this season.
