Hull City midfielder Bryan Hughes will have an operation after damaging cartilage in his left leg during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Blackpool. Hughes picked up the injury in the same incident that saw him knocked unconscious and stretchered off.
Manager Phil Brown told the club website: "The operation will keep him out of action for seven to 10 days.
"Having been knocked unconscious, all of his body weight fell on his left side and damaged some cartilage."
