Forster is an experienced striker |
Hull have bought striker Nicky Forster from Ipswich for 250,000. The 32-year-old was a team-mate of Tigers boss Phil Parkinson at Reading and revealed that his respect for the manager was a big factor in the move.
"Phil convinced me that this club is going forward and that it is the right move," Forster told the Hull website.
"Phil made a name for himself at Colchester. I was at Ipswich, which wasn't far away, and watched him develop into a top young manager."
Forster could make his debut when Hull play Birmingham a week on Saturday - and the striker added he is hungry for goals.
"I'm a goalscorer really," said the striker, who has also played for Gillingham, Brentford and Birmingham.
"I play on the shoulder of the last defender and I am always looking for balls played in behind and over the top.
"My main asset is my pace. I have had one or two injuries but I feel very sharp at the moment and all I want to do is score goals."
Forster arrives on the day that Hull sold Ben Burgess to Blackpool and Ipswich have signed Sylvain Legwinski.
