Hull are keen to offer Barmby a new contract extension

As well as Barmby, 30, Hull are also talking terms with goalkeeper Boaz Myhill and defender Marc Joseph.

Hull chairman Adam Pearson said: "Nick has a clause that if he plays 20 games, he gets an extra year.

"But his form over the last six games means he will be getting one anyway, so no problem there, and we're talking to Boaz and looking at Marc as well."
