Huddersfield's Jonathan Worthington has signed a new contract which will keep the Terriers skipper at the Galpharm Stadium until the summer of 2007. The 22-year-old Dewsbury-born midfielder missed the last four games of the campaign with a knee injury.
But boss Peter Jackson told the club website: "No-one will be keener than Worthy to start next season strongly.
"He's taken the job on board - he is our leader, both on and off the pitch, and he's an important influence."
