Huddersfield Town's future could be secure after a takeover bid from a group led by former chairman Terry Fisher was accepted by the club's administrators. The chairman of Huddersfield Giants rugby league club Ken Davy is also involved in the bid to save the Terriers, who were placed into administration on 31 March and relegated to Division Three.
If the bid is approved by creditors, Spain-based multi-millionaire Fisher would become chairman once again.
He was in charge when the club were promoted to Division One in 1995.
