Hibernian caretaker manager Alastair Stevenson insists he has not considered taking the job on permanently.

Stevenson takes charge of the team for Saturday's match with Kilmarnock along with fellow coach Gareth Evans.

"I have not even thought about the job," said Stevenson. "The only thing I am thinking about is the game on Saturday against Kilmarnock.

"I don't think there have been too many things wrong. We maybe just need a little bit of luck to go our way."

Evans, a former Hibernian player who has been an assistant manager at both Alloa and Brechin, has been reserve team coach at Easter Road since 2007.

Stevenson, Hibs' Under-19 coach, added: "If we can put the ball in the net at one end and take our chances and be positive defensively, we have a realistic chance of winning the game on Saturday.

"Gareth and I have been working hand in hand for the past few years. We are used to working with these players, we feel we have their respect."

The Leith side having taken only five points from a possible 21 so far this season and the manager's job became vacant at the beginning of October when John Hughes left by mutual consent.
