Hibs assistant Brian Rice scouts Euro opponents Maribor
Hibernian assistant manager Brian Rice will watch Maribor in action at the weekend after the Slovenian side set up a Europa League meeting.
Maribor beat Hungarians Videoton 2-0 to go through to the third qualifying round with a 3-1 aggregate victory.
Manager John Hughes told Hibs' website: "Maribor will play their first league game on Sunday, so Brian Rice will stay over there and watch them again.
"There will be no stone left unturned to give my players information."
Hughes watched Thursday's match on television at his side's Dutch training camp and Rice will see Maribor in person when they face Rudar in their second league match - their first resulted in a 5-0 win over Triglav Kranj.
"They look a decent side, we watched their match on TV," said the manager. "The two wingers look like they have got good pace.
"The first goal was a good goal, good combination play, a slotted pass and a good finish."
Maribor will have home advantage in next Thursday's first leg, with the return at Easter Road on 5 August.
The Slovenians followed up the 1-1 draw from the first leg with a 2-0 victory at home to progress.
