Paatelainen is disappointed with Hibs' eventual sixth place
Hibernian boss Mixu Paatelainen was scathing of his team's performance after a 2-0 defeat against Motherwell at Easter Road.
The loss, which, coupled with Aberdeen's win over Rangers has consigned the Edinburgh club to sixth
place in the SPL table.
"Our defending was really, really poor tonight," the Finn said.
"The midfielders and some players at the back just decided not to defend at all which is very disappointing."
The Steelmen, who have qualified for next season's Uefa Cup, took the lead after three minutes when Simon Lappin curled a free-kick past a helpless Andy McNeil.
Jamie Murphy scored his first senior goal for Well when he scored a second-half penalty.
