Boardroom change at Easter Road

Hibernian

Scott Lindsay has been made chief executive at Hibernian to help lighten the workload of chairman Rod Petrie.

Lindsay, who returned to the Hibs board for a second spell last year, steps up from his role as executive director.

"This announcement formalises a change in structure," Petrie revealed. "The club remains my first priority.

"I continue to undertake a range of duties, but this change enables me to spend the time necessary to serve on the boards of the SPL and the SFA."

Lindsay will focus on day-to-day operations and will oversee major infrastructure projects, including proposals for a new East Stand at Easter Road.

"The new structure will allow the chairman to focus his efforts on working with the manager as he shapes the squad he wants to take the club forward," said Lindsay.

"The chairman will also ensure that the club has a strong voice within the upper echelons of Scottish football.

"At the same time, much requires to be done on a day to day basis to ensure the smooth running of the operations of the club and my task will be to ensure the management team stays focused on delivering.

"In addition, having just seen the new training centre open, this remains a time of great opportunity and challenge for the club.

"We must always strive to further develop our infrastructure and we will be looking to progress some major projects."
