 Speculation has linked Rob Jones with a return to England |
Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed he is interested in Hibernian centre-back Rob Jones. Magilton was at Easter Road on Sunday as Hibs beat SPL leaders Celtic 3-2.
"We had heard a lot about him and I went to see what all the fuss was about," said the Ipswich boss. "We will certainly be looking at him again.
"Hibernian are not short of money and have no reason to sell, so it remains to be seen whether they will be interested in selling."
Jones joined Hibs from Grimsby Town for an undisclosed fee in June 2006 and has since become club captain.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Leeds United during the summer, but Hibernian ruled out any sale.
