John Collins was delighted to collect the three points |
John Collins was far from satisfied after his Hibernian side opened their Scottish Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Hearts. "I'm certainly happy with the result and the start to the game," said the Hibs manager. "We got off to a terrific start with the goal.
"But I was not happy with our passing. We can pass better than that.
"However, three points and a derby victory is good for the supporters. But it was edgy stuff right to the end."
Edinburgh derbies have proved problematic for Hibs goalkeepers in recent times.

But Collins was particularly pleased with Yves Ma-Kalambay, who was making his competitive debut after having arrived from Chelsea during the summer.
"He was terrific and that's several clean sheets we have had including pre-season," said the manager.
"I am always happy with a victory, but I also strive for a performance."
Hibs goal came after two minutes from summer signing Brian Kerr.
The former Motherwell midfielder said: "I just remember getting into the box and getting my head on the ball.

"But I didn't see it go in as I was too busy celebrating."
Kerr said the win gave him more confidence that he and Hibs other signings could compensate in midfield for the loss of Scott Brown to Celtic and Kevin Thomson to Rangers.
"The expectation levels at the club are very high," he said.
"We are targeting a European spot this year, especially after getting off to a great start."
