Thomson said he wanted to stay with the Easter Road side |
Hibernian captain Kevin Thomson says he is committed to the Edinburgh club and wants to sign a contract extension. A number of Premiership clubs and the Old Firm are reported to be interested in enticing Thomson and team-mate Scott Brown away from Easter Road.
However, Thomson said: "Me and Scott have always said we want to be at this club.
"Everybody knows I'm a big Hibee and how much I love the club. I've made it clear I want to sign a new contract."
Thomson said he was enjoying his football under new boss John Collins and had no desire to join another club.
"As I've said if Hibs want to sell me then I would have to deal with that," the Hibs skipper said.

"At the moment I hope Hibs are happy with me as I'm happy with Hibs.
"I'm 110% focused on what I've got to do and giving my best for this club.
"When the manager came in he mentioned new contracts.
"I'm sure the situation will be resolved soon, hopefully the sooner the better as it's becoming a bit of a laugh and a joke in the press."
Thomson added: "I've made it clear I want to sign a new contract at Easter Road. I love playing here and I'm the skipper of the club. Long may it continue."
