Beuzelin is an important player for Hibs |
Hibernian hope to have Guillaume Beuzelin back in time for the start of next season but July's Intertoto Cup may come too soon for the midfielder. The 27-year-old has not played since suffering a cruciate knee injury in the 2-2 draw at Kilmarnock on 2 January.
"His rehabilitation is going really well and he's very confident," manager Tony Mowbray told the club website.
"Hopefully, by the time everyone gets back towards the end of June, he will be fit to start joining in again."
The new SPL season begins on 29 July but Hibs start earlier than that because they will be in the Intertoto Cup.
Former Le Havre player Beuzelin is a key man for Hibs but missed almost half of the previous season with an ankle injury.
"He has been mixing it between over here with our physio and over in France with the French national doctor, they seem happy with things," added Mowbray.
"He is having a couple of weeks holiday and then he will be back before the rest of the players."
