Gary O'Connor is awaiting results of a medical |
Hearts winger Deividas Cesnauskis believes Hibernian striker Garry O'Connor will be welcomed by the supporters of his former club. Lokomotiv Moscow are on the verge of completing the 1.6m transfer of the Scotland international.
"They have a new stadium and a good training complex and I think Garry O'Connor will be well received," said the Lithuanian. "He is a good player.
"Lokomotiv Moscow are a good team. They have good players."
O'Connor is awaiting results of a medical and a formal final offer from the Russians.
Cesnauskis spent five years in Moscow, first with Dynamo and then with Lokomotiv, and stresses that O'Connor is moving to a "big club".
"When I played, we were Russian champions and were a very good team," he added.
"But it will be a difficult season for Garry O'Connor because there will be more flights to different cities than he is used to in Scotland."
