Hibs boss Tony Mowbray was upset with the home fans who jeered captain Gary Caldwell during the defeat to Aberdeen. He said: "I need to let everybody know how disappointed I am at the minority of the supporters who booed Gary - and it must be said it was a minority.
"I hope they feel disappointed with themselves. I feel as if they did a disservice to their football club.
"However professional you are, and Gary is very professional, concentration levels would have been affected."
Fans turned on Caldwell as a result of his contract talks with Celtic and it was an error from the 23-year-old that led to the opening goal.
But Mowbray insisted he would continue to select the Scotland international defender.
He added: "Whilst Gary's playing for us we should all give him as much support as we can and enjoy and encourage him to play for Hibs.
"If I thought what was going on was going to affect him then I won't pick him. "But I will pick him every single week, as long as he has a performance level like he had today.
"Whether the first goal was directly related, I don't know. It was a question of Caldwell trying to play football at a time where I put demands on my players to play football and not just hoof it up the pitch or into the stand.
"If we had taken our chances we could have scored four, five or six goals in the second-half, against zero shots, zero efforts.
"That's not taking away from Aberdeen, it's because we were so good in the second-half."
