Hibs manager Tony Mowbray has added to his squad

20-year-old defender Chris Hogg arrives from Ipswich on a two-year deal, while Northern Irish winger Ivan Sproule, 23, has agreed an 18-month stay.

Also joining Hibernian is Mali-born striker Amadou Konte, 24 - who was at Cambridge United and has signed on until the end of the season.

Hogg is recovering from a hand injury but is expected to be fit for first team football by March.

Hogg, a former England U-16 captain, will be the third player to make the move from Portman Road to Edinburgh.

Hibs manager Tony Mowbray, a former coach at Ipswich, has already persuaded Sam Morrow and Antonio Murray to follow him north.

Londonderry club Institute will receive a small fee for Sproule, who impressed during a week-long trial at Easter Road.

Konte scored three times in nine games for Cambridge but was unhappy at being left out of the starting line-up in recent games.

He arrived in England from Italian Serie C side Paterno Calcio on a free transfer in October.

Konte started off with French side Strasbourg and has also been at Porto.
