Hereford United winger Marc Pugh says they can take on any team in the league and be confident of beating them after the 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Bulls are just three points outside the relegation zone but have claimed four points from their last two games.
He told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "We can go into the game with no fear. We played Bournemouth and Dagenham and we didn't look like mugs.
"We gave them a good game, and in both matches we were the better team."
The 22-year-old former Burney apprentice says the players also feel they can have a good run in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
They take on Aldershot at Edgar Street on Tuesday, having given away a two-goal lead in the dying minutes in a recent league game at the Recreation Ground.
"I think they are one of the better teams we have played this season," Pugh said.
"But that suits us as we like to get the ball down and pass it and they let you pass it.
"They (Aldershot) are a good solid unit, but we can go on and win it, if we are positive as we have been in the last two games."
