Thomson has made nine appearances for Hearts this season

Hearts full-back Jason Thomson has signed a new three-year contract extension at Tynecastle.

The 21-year-old, who has made nine first-team appearances during this campaign, told the club website: "It's great that my future is now settled.

"I thought I did okay when I got the chance this season. Now I hope to push on and try to play more regularly.

"It's a great club to be at if you are a young player and my aim is to keep working hard and develop my game."
