Stewart is believed to be attracting interest from clubs in Italy and Germany
Two Hearts players are attracting interest from top-tier clubs in Germany and Italy, with Michael Stewart believed to be one of them.
The midfielder, along with winger Andrew Driver and defender Christophe Berra, are among those who could leave during the January transfer window.
Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo refused to name the interested clubs.
But he said that the two players in question were among the Scottish contingent of his multi-national side.
Laszlo even confirmed a scout from the Italian club watched his team beat Kilmarnock 2-0 on Saturday in the Scottish Premier League.
"It's not a big secret that a scout from an Italian Serie A side was here and he watched one midfield player," he said.
"The coach phoned me and asked about the player, this is what I know. The scout was here and watched our game against Kilmarnock.
I know, at this moment, if we have an offer for Berra and we sold him, immediately I can go and take a player for his position

"This club is not Juventus, but it is a good club and I am happy about this. Maybe they don't move in January, but the interest is there.
"I also heard a club from the Bundesliga have an interest in a player.
"This is a club that is not in the bottom, they are in the top three. If the interest is there, they have seven days to decide.
"I can't tell you which club, but I know there is interest. If they come, I am happy.
"The interest from the clubs is for two different Scottish players."
It was anticipated Hearts would cash in on several prized assets during the January transfer market in a bid to raise much-needed revenue.
But, as yet, Laszlo's squad remains intact and the Hearts manager insists he is also in the dark over suggestions that English-born winger Driver is a target for Ukrainian club Dynamo Kiev.
"I was also surprised to read about Dynamo Kiev," he said. "I have no information about that.
"I have some information about other players, but it's only interest. We have not sold anyone at the moment and I don't think we have any concrete offers."
Laszlo has admitted he has a contingency plan if the club sell captain Berra.
"At the moment, I have a target in mind for central defence because everyone talks about Berra," said the Hungarian.
"If Berra goes, I can take this player immediately, we have discussed money.
"I know, at this moment, if we have an offer for Berra and we sold him, immediately I can go and take a player for his position, a young player."
