Out-of-favour Celtic striker Chris Killen is a target for Hearts in the January transfer window.
The New Zealand international joined Celtic from Hearts' Edinburgh neighbours Hibernian in May 2007.
The 27-year-old signed a three-year deal at Celtic Park but has never established himself in manager Gordon Strachan's first-team plans.
Killen has scored just once for Celtic and has been dogged by fitness problems during his time in Scotland.
The forward scored an impressive 19 goals in 32 appearances for Hibs but had his final season at Easter Road cut short by an Achilles injury.
Killen has made one outing as a substitute this term but has not featured since picking up a knee injury representing New Zealand at the Olympics.
Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo has expressed his desire to improve the attacking options at Tynecastle.
Strikers Jamie Mole and Christian Nade have scored just one goal each, while injury has ruined Mike Tullberg's loan move from Reggina.
