Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo has assured goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald that he is an important part of his plans.
The Scotland Under-21 international was quoted as saying he wanted a spell away from the club on loan after being dropped after one game under Laszlo.
"I heard about all the stories about Jamie, but he hasn't spoken to me about anything," Laszlo told Hearts' website.
"Janos Balogh is injured at the moment, so I am very happy to have Jamie as the second goalkeeper."
MacDonald showed up well when he played in the Scottish Cup final last season after being farmed out to First Division outfit Queen of the South.
But he was replaced by new signing Marian Kello when Hearts travelled to Glasgow to face Rangers last month.
"If he comes to me or the sport director then we can discuss the situation, but for me at the moment this is not a question," said Laszlo.
"Jamie is a Heart of Midlothian player and I need three goalkeepers here.
"We have already seen how quickly things can change when player pick up injuries."
Lazslo confirmed that winger Andrew Driver would miss Saturday's game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle through injury.
