Frail unclear over Hearts future

Hearts manager Stephen Frail admits his future at the club is uncertain after a 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock killed off his side's top-six hopes.

"We though when we got in there at 0-0 at half-time we had a chance, but the only real chance we had was Christian Nade's header at the end," he said.

"I'm not going to say we were unlucky, we were nowhere near good enough.

"Whether or not I'll be here next season is another matter, but I hope success comes as we've got great fans."

Frail was frustrated his players failed to rise to the occasion as Kilmarnock took the game to the Tynecastle sisde in the opening 45 minutes.

"My emotions are just frustration and disappointment. I'm hurt that we didin't do it. We've let a very large following from Edinburgh down - not just today but throughout the season. I'm pretty certain the players are feeling the same way I'm feeling.

"I don't know why the players took so long to get going today. It's the same performance we got last year when we were going for third in the league at the same venue and the same sort of day with the sun out.

"We treated the first half like a testimonial game - Kilmarnock certainly didn't and they should have gone into half-time two or three goals up.

"We gave ourselves a big chance today, and we let ourselves down."
