Frail watched his side coast to victory against Inverness |
Hearts' caretaker manager Stephen Frail was delighted to see Calum Elliot score twice in the win at Inverness. "Calum Elliot has come in for a lot of criticism but he's chipped in with two goals and the second finish was real class," said Frail.
"We've stuck with him because he's such a bright prospect. We know how good a player he is.
"He also needed an injection for a rib injury before the game, so it was a great performance."
Frail left defender Jose Goncalves out of the team after Wednesday's 4-0 drubbing from Rangers.
Reports suggest the player has returned to Portugal but Frail expects to see the full-back at training next week.
"It is an internal matter - something that I wasn't going to accept after the game on Wednesday against Rangers," said Frail.
"I have spoken to Jose and he accepts he was wrong.
"He was disappointed when I spoke to him and told him he wasn't in the squad, but he fully accepted the decision.
"As far as we are concerned that is the end of the matter and Jose will be back in on Monday morning for work."
