Frail was subdued after the long-awaited win for Hearts |
Caretaker manager Stephen Frail slammed his side after a poor first-half showing handed victory to Motherwell in the Scottish Cup tie at Fir Park. "We didn't cause them problems when we had the ball, we didn't work hard enough and we allowed them to pick up every second ball," he said.
However, Frail praised the improvement in his side after the break.
"We pushed our midfield forward and if we'd started like that it might have been a different outcome."
Frail had little complaint about the penalty which led to Motherwell's goal.
"I haven't really seen it, but the players don't have any complaints. They said that when Eggert Jonsson went in, his hand was up, so they've no complaints about it.
The Tynecastle boss insisted his side can bounce back before next week's CIS Insurance Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden.
"It's a massive loss for us but I still believe we can go to Hampden next week and reach the final.
"It's a one-off game and there is no added pressure," he added.
