Stephen Frail said the Celtic defeat was a wake-up call |
A 5-0 thrashing by Celtic has turned Hearts' season around, assistant boss Stephen Frail claimed after Monday's victory over Motherwell. "I don't think we played scintillating football as Motherwell made it difficult," he told BBC Sport after an exciting win at Fir Park.
"What we had was team spirit and a willingness to play for each other.
"We've managed to get that back and the Celtic game was a wake-up call that we had let it slide a bit."
Frail hoped that the improvement would continue after a training camp in Lithuania during international week.
"We did it last year in Germany and it worked out well," he said.
