Mackle is close to a first-team breakthrough at Tynecastle | Hearts teenager Sean Mackle, a Scotland U19 international, has signed a new five-year contract at Tynecastle. The 18-year-old midfielder has yet to make his first-team debut but was an unused substitute for Monday's 2-0 win at Motherwell. Hearts assistant coach Stephen Frail told the club website: "Sean has knuckled down over the last six months and has been working very hard. "He thoroughly deserves this contract."
