Hearts have signed three new players as they offset the loss of Scotland midfielder Paul Hartley to Celtic. They confirmed the capture of 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Laryea Kingston on loan from Russian side Terek Groznyi.
And two more players have arrived at Tynecastle from Kaunas.
Midfielder Linas Pilibaitis and centre-back Tomas Kancelskis are on loan until the end of the season from the Lithuanian champions.
The 31-year-old Kancelskis, capped 14 times for Lithuania, is the more experienced and was captain of Kaunas, sponsored by Hearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov.
Pilibaitis is a 21-year-old attacking midfielder who could be a ready-made replacement for Hartley, sold to Celtic for more than �1m.
The pair closely follow goalkeeper Arnus Lekevicius, whose transfer from Kaunas to Hearts has also now been confirmed.
Kingston told Hearts World: "I am very pleased to be here and want to try to win cups for Hearts.
"I don't think there is much difference to the game in Scotland than in Russia.
"I am a defensive midfielder who tries to win a lot of balls to help set up the attackers."
Hearts had also hoped to sign Spartak Nalchik midfielder Gogita Gogua.
But the club were refused a work permit for the 23-year-old Georgia international.
