Praised hero Banks to be dropped
Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas
Valdas Ivanauskas thought his side deserved the win
Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas praised stand-in goalkeeper Steve Banks but promised to restore Craig Gordon for Tuesday's derby with Hibernian.

Gordon was on the bench for the 1-0 victory away to Dundee United.

"I had no doubts about bringing in Steve and he did very well, but Craig will return against Hibs," Ivanauskas told BBC Sport.

"He was good, especially for the last 15 to 20 minutes, and it is great to have two experienced goalkeepers."

Ivanauskas thought his side deserved the win, despite that late pressure that brought Banks into action.

"We deserved the three points because we had a lot of chances."

Hearts' victory came thanks to a Paul Hartley penalty disputed by United.

They felt that the ball struck Stuart Duff's hand when it was heading away from goal.

But Ivanauskas added: "If the referee says it is a penalty, it is a penalty."
