Jankauskas claims there is no rift between players at Hearts |
Edgaras Jankauskas has denied that Lithuanian players were plotting against Hearts captain Steven Pressley. The skipper has only featured in one of the club's last four matches after voicing concerns about player unrest.
And there had been reports of club owner Vladimir Romanov asking Lithuanian players to declare a vote of no-confidence in their captain.
"There's not any plot and none of the Lithuanians are against the Scottish," said Tynecastle striker Jankauskas.
Hearts have slipped to sixth spot in the SPL table, following a poor run of results.
And fans have been angered by Pressley's exclusion in recent weeks.
Romanov has brought several Lithuanian players to Edinburgh, including Jankauskas and the goal-scorers in Saturday's 2-2 draw at St Mirren - Saulius Mikoliunas and Marius Zaliukas.
But Jankauskas insists there is no rift between the foreign imports and home-grown players.
"I can assure you that none of the Lithuanians were involved in any plot or similar word," he added.
"They are quite young players and I don't think they would even understand what is goes on.
"We are all doing the same job, whether we are black or white, whether we are born in Senegal, France or Lithuania.
"We have a good relationship with Steven.
"Of course difference of opinion can happen when you are together every day on the training pitch but I can consider him as my friend."
