Rix has not yet won over the Hearts fans |
The SFA has delayed making a decision on whether Graham Rix is a "fit and proper person" to hold the position of head coach of Hearts. The SFA's general purposes committee considered the matter on Tuesday but adjourned "pending the submission of further information by the club".
The issue was originally raised by East Fife chairman Derek Brown.
Rix was jailed in 1999 for having sex with a 15-year-old girl and served half of a 12-month sentence.
The former Portsmouth manager attended Tuesday's meeting in person, along with Hearts' company secretary and solicitor.
The club say they will be happy to provide the necessary information.
It is likely that the committee will next meet at the end of January or the beginning of February.
