Hartlepool boss Wadsworth plays down club uncertainty
Wadsworth took over as caretaker boss in August
Hartlepool United caretaker boss Mick Wadsworth has refuted the idea that uncertainty at the League One club is affecting his side's performances.
Pools lost 4-0 at home to Carlisle in midweek, their third defeat in four games at Victoria Park to leave them just one point above bottom three.
"In my eyes there's no uncertainty at the club because I am in charge at the moment," Wadsworth told BBC Tees.
"The chairman [Ken Hodcroft] is happy and has given me support."
Wadsworth, who was handed an assistant role to former director of sport Chris Turner during the summer, has endured a mixed spell as caretaker following Turner's exit in mid-August.
His side made a winning start away at Yeovil, but five defeats in eight games since has eroded the early season optimism.
"It's a case of getting on with it, making sure we stay in this decision and that we climb up the table as quickly as we can," Wadsworth added.
"I just want the club to be better and better while I'm here and we'll work at that."
Pools travel to Peter Reid's Plymouth side in League One on Saturday.
