Liverpool have allowed defender Godwin Antwi to join League One outfit Hartlepool on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old is a regular in the Reds' reserve side and spent a successful two-month spell with Accrington last season.
The Ghanaian played a part in helping Stanley to preserve their Football League status.
Meanwhile Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson has signed former Doncaster goalkeeper Jan Budtz, 28.
The Danish stopper was released by Rovers at the end of last season.
He spent two years with the South Yorkshire club and also made four appearances on loan with Wolves last season.
Budtz's arrival follows the signing of former Coventry keeper Arran Lee-Barrett and the pair will now compete for the number one shirt vacated by Dimi Konstantopoulos.
