Hartlepool midfielder Antony Sweeney could be out of action for six weeks with a knee injury. Sweeney damaged his medial ligament in a block challenge during the 4-1 win at Grimsby Town on Tuesday.
"It's a big blow for us because Antony was starting to perform in the manner I expect from midfield players," manager Danny Wilson told the club website.
"But that's football and now there's a chance for somebody else to stake their claims for a place in the side."
