Hartlepool midfielder Anthony Sweeney has revealed his delight after signing a contract extension and is determined to help push the club forward. He told the club's website: "Hopefully, having signed this contract, I can stay in the side for the few years.
"Over the past five years the club has been heading forward and I don't see why we can't keep going.
"We're on the verge of the play-offs and, who knows, we could be a Championship club next season."
