Everton legend Sheedy arrived last season

The former Everton midfielder moved to Victoria Park shortly after Mike Newell took charge in November 2002.

But Newell was relieved of his duties at the end of last month - despite guiding the club to promotion - and Sheedy has now followed.

"Owing to team management changes within the club, Kevin Sheedy has been served his termination notice and will no longer be involved in football matters," chairman Ken Hodcroft told the club's official website.
