Hartlepool boss Chris Turner has completed his fourth pre-season signing, snapping up former Sheffield Wednesday striker Richie Humphreys.

Humphreys, 23, has spent most of his career with the Owls but was on a short-term deal with Cambridge United at the end of last season.

As a teenager he was tipped for the top by Dutch legend Marco Van Basten but suffered from a series of injuries.

He joins Jon Bass, Darell Clarke and Tommy Widdrington at Victoria Park.
