Hamilton Academical defender James Gibson has signed professional terms with the club. The 17-year-old has been rewarded for recent good performances in the first team with a contract until May 2009, the club said.
Gibson was on the bench for Hamilton's 1-1 home draw with Livingston on Saturday.
Manager Billy Reid said: "James has done well since pushing through into the first-team squad this season."
Hamilton are currently third in the Scottish First Division on 26 points, seven behind league leaders Gretna and two behind second-placed Partick.
