| Experienced Mark McLaughlin, 30, and teenage fellow defender Tony Stevenson have extended their contracts with Hamilton Academical. McLaughlin, who arrived from Clyde two seasons ago, has committed himself to the Division Once club until 2008. Manager Billy Reid said: "There's no doubt that Accies are a far stronger team when he's on the park. Mark is a massive player for us." Stevenson, 18, has made 16 appearances and has signed on until May 2009.
